5 Photos-Damascus /Ivory Bowie-P.Long Sheath

John, take this ivory and see what you can do with it. Paul, take this baby gator and see what you can do to dress up what John did with the ivory. Superb results by two of the best in their fields! Always a treat when you guys share the joy with us. There is some fellow out there that had a nice set of elephant ivory scales that now has a gem of a bowie. Custom knife world at its best. Congrats to all involved.

Thanks for sharing, John!

John makes the spectacular seem quite routine.
^^^ Exactly. And so does Paul.

Your client must be doing handsprings and backflips. Well, maybe he's just warmly pleased. :)

Way to show it off too, John.

100% quality. Thanks for the show!

I'm always amazed upon seeing one of John's completed "full" take-down knives in pieces.
He, (imo) elevates the "take-down" concept to the highest level of execution.
No matter how severe a potential handle or shrinkage problem, it's reduced to a routine repair.
And in spite of the multiple pins & pieces his exact tolerances insure a
rock solid and eternal handle construction.

John, Looks like another master piece! Fine looking work by both.... Now if I were even to attempt something like this my time would be spent trying to find the pieces. I'm known to misplace whole knives. :D

Everything about this Bowie is killer,
and it's a take-down.

Has the ivory been mentioned ? :D

Great leather, Paul !
Thanks for sharing, John !

Wow John, that is outstanding in so many ways. Awesome work my friend.

See if you can score some more of that killer ivory :)

:eek:Holy Moly!!!! That is freekin gorgeous. I love the way the Pattern loosens up near the tip. Awesome tool, Awesome knife and sheath:thumbup: Great work:thumbup:

Thanks to all ya'll for the comments on this one. Pieces of ivory like this are hard to find, and it was fun to "do this again."

The owner reports he's challenged his buddy to a dual; starting with Bowies dis-assembled!
