5 pin 110?

George Stenzel, whom I consider the most knowledgeable person on vintage 110s, told me that he specifically remembers them (4 brass handle pins) coming to market in 1976 for a very short period.

More than likely it was early 1976. This is not my knife, but I saw it on eBay a while back. The auction included an original sales receipt for the next variation 110 with 3 tiny brass handle pins. $8.80 in 1976 has the same buying power as $38.26 in 2018.

While I don't remember the exact retail price of a Buck 110 in 1976, I do know it was considerably more than $8.80. I think it was closer to $30 than $9.00.
Heck, the Old Timer 7OT sold for around $25.00 in 1976, and it cost less than a Buck 110.

I don't know what model Buck that receipt is for, but it is not for a 110, unless the store was going out of business, and selling off their stock way below cost.

110's cost less than 20 bucks back in the 60's and 70's. I bought a new one about 1981 or 1982 for about $19 or so (a lot of money back then).

When I first found out about the 112 version I looked for a stag or custom shop handle material till I learned more about the history of the 112 and realized how improbable one would be..Stump if you rehandled one of yours it would be a Ebay allstar!!
