I have been working on this layup for months and pleased with the way this one turned out. My forge welding has always worked well but I couldn't get the look I wanted; lots of trials to get to this point.

The top layer is 15N20, Second is puddle iron from an old wagon tire and the core is 1095
Heat treated with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 58-60
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Bacote handle
Overall length: 11 3/4 inches
Blade: 6 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop

Excellent! What a great idea and execution. The handle looks very comfortable yet a good grip. This should not last long.
