Another vote for John of JK Knives or Kellam. John not only makes great knives at fair prices, he is a great guy. I have the Kellam Slasher which has a 7" carbon steel blade, it feels very light in the hand for the blade length and performs as well as it looks.

Great knife. I designed it and while John puts a modified scandi edge on it as opposed to a zero, I have made mine razor sharp (more of a scandi-convex combo). Thanks for the vote guys!
