5 Spike Hawk's field test

CCF,
Would you considering making some with hammer polls instead of spikes? Thanks.

A hammer poll would be awesome! I'm thinking of grinding the spike down on mine to create a small hammer head, or just leaving it the way it comes.

I understand you will be forging another run of these rough looking souls in the future? I think I'll have to pick one up then. I've already bought myself too many goodies recently. This will be a nice gift to myself later in the semester!

Snake Dr. if I may, what other hawks did you get from Steve?

Steve, I'm wearing my Cold Steel Trail hawk today as I work on leather sheaths and I keep telling me self "The faster I make sheaths, the sooner I can get one of Steve's Spiked hawks". My room mates think I'm crazy!! :D

Snake Dr., how's that curly maple holding up for you? Have you used either of these hawks extensively? I ask because I don't read about a lot of guys using their curly maple hafted hawks. They usually just keep them on the wall or mantle or wherever.

I use them more for light duty field use, Cutting Green Willow on the Riverside for Lean-To's, Splitting Kindling from log's for the Fire, No Throwing as of yet, I'm still practicing with my Cold Steel's, Mostly Field Carry with my Possible's Bag, But the Curly Maple Is holding up Good,
