5 Years of Burt Foster Knives

The users are for guys like Hans, although I did offer to let him chop through a 2"x 4" at Josh's show with the Grasslands Bowie.

arrgh, don't mention it! i was just too stupid to grasp the opportunity. heck, i still haven't got over it! :grumpy: :D

that's a beautiful line up! i especially like the big damascus knife and the subhilt. very nice!

best regards,
hans

I posted up some of Burt's beauty shots for Mr. "discriminating, gripy student formerly known as Nick Wheeler, Knifemaker".:D

Nice Lineup STeven,
I hope I am around at the end when you have that last one.
Thanks for sharing,

WOW...those additional pics from Burt show how impressive EACH and every knife is. That pair in a single sheath are SWEET!

Thanks for the better pictures.

Nice looking knives

Curious as to what the handle look liked before you "Garssonized the handle" ? Did you put the bevels in or is it something else I"m missing.

STeven - did that damascus camp set get broken up, or do you have the matching hunter as well?

I ground down the edge and spine sides. I think Burt makes the butts of his knives too fat, and is, uh, "resistant" to not making them that way .

Burt's photo is the "before", my group shot is the "after"

STeven, I checked it in the dictionary the first time I came across "Garssonized" and I couldn't find any matching word :p Then suddently I saw your second name i.e. Garsson :o I seems you successfully caused me to have a good chuckle this very morning :)

I knew I was going to like this thread as soon as I saw the title. I'm a big fan of Burt's and those are some great examples of his work.
