Hey fellas, looking for recommendations on the best knives in the $50 dollar range. (Current items for sale on the forums are welcome too) nothing under 3" blade ideally closer to 3.5". My wife has asked me to give her some fathers day gift ideas and naturally my first thought is a new knife. Lol
Only knife that's really caught my attention so far is a Real Steel H5...

Aren't both of those closer to $70-ish than $50?
Should've been more specific, let's say $60 max...

Can get grey endura on big river right now for 59.71$.

But at 3.75", it's a little over your size range.

Apparently I'm just not good at shopping around eh?
I only say 3.5" because I usually carry a PM2. I don't mind bigger at all, in fact Thursday I'll have a K2. 3.75" or 4" are good by me. No legal restrictions where I live either.

My favorite large knife under $50 so far is the Real Steel Thor, if you like flippers. Perfect detent on mine, easily opened with flipper or studs. Sandvik 14c28n steel. Definite all around winner in my book.

Another good option would be one of the D2 Ontario RAT 1 folders, upgraded steel and available with carbon fiber handles (if you can still find one). Right at $50 if you want the CF. Everybody recommends that knife so highly for a reason.

Real steel is a great knife I like the stuff they make. I would say go with that if you like the aesthetic.

Another excellent option would be a Spyderco tenacious- It should be $45. Its my go to gift knife for under the $50 mark. I have seen the Endura's drop down below $60. That would be a better knife overall check amazon they sometimes have sales.

The Steel Will Cutjack in D2 Steel is a great knife that comes in just under $50. There are a couple reviews of it in the Knife Reviews and Testing forum. I've had mine for about a month or so and really like it. You're getting a lot of knife for under $50.

Rat 1 in d2 steel (they are cheaper with aus-8 but d2 lasts longer, also note SiC/Diamond stones are recommended for sharpening D2).
These start around $40-50 depending on color/style.

Rat 2 in D2 will be out near the end of the year, its smaller (rat 2 currently only comes in aus-8 iirc).

Real Steel Knives and Ruike Knives also have some cool budget offerings around the price range. the steel they use iirc is a sandvik steel which is often on the higher end of budget offerings.

I have a Leek in sandvik but I haven't put it to much use, seems to be decent though.
I think I'm leaning toward real steel mostly because it's different than what I've already got in that price range.

All provem, well known and quality made folders:

Cold Steel Voyagers, CODE 4 Pro Lites and older AUS8 Recons, Rajah III, Hold Out II...
Spyderco Tenacious, Resilience, Salt I
Ontario Utilitac II
Kershaw Leek and Skyline, Link and Knockout

For the money it is hard to beat the Ruike 108 sf paid like $30 for it... has been a great knife..

+1 for the Steel Will Cutjack. Maybe the biggest bargain on the market.

I'd recommend:
(** might be over your budget a bit)

Real Steel H6-S1
Ontario Rat 1 either AUS-8 or D2
Spyderco Endura **
Kershaw Blur
Kershaw Knockout**
Any Buck knife
You can also grab a Spyderco Resilience or Tenacious for under $50 but you sacrifice blade steel - 8cr13mov
