Just as the title reads I got 50 big ones for easter and what better thing to invest in than a folding knife?! So which one? $50 bucks or less. Looking for a "modern" folder
Under $50 and 3" or less blade length:
Kershaw Cryo
Kershaw Zing
Cold Steel Mini AK-47
Cold Steel Mini Recon 1
Cold Steel Mini American Lawman
Ontario RAT Model 2
ESEE/BRK Zancudo
Spyderco Persistence
Spyderco Dragonfly
Wow! Thank you!
I've been looking at the Kershaw Echelon
Honestly I had the Echelon for about a month and hated the thumbstuds, also after the first run i think Kershaw stopped doing the machined grove around the thumbstuds. The knockout and Piston are 100x the knife that the Echelon is.
No problem, I maintain a list of <$50 <3" folders for my own high value needs.I won't really buy a knife I can't legally carry, and for me $50 is more than sufficient for a quality blade. Of those recommendations I must say I'm not really a fan of Spyderco's blade holes (sorry guys!). I would personally go Zing black tanto ($35 on Kershawguy website), Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 ($35 Amazon), Cold Steel Voyager Medium ($34 ebay), or ESEE Zancudo ($30 Amazon/ebay).
Honestly, I hated the thumb hole at first until I got the Manix2 and now I'm in love I use my middle finger to open it instead of my thumb though
