$500 Knife

I'm gonna start a thread that pops up from time to time. What knife would you buy with a spare $500? Personally, I'm interested in a kit Carson, J.W. Smith, or a Stan Fujisaka.
 
29 Knives balisong with a traditional tanto blade and diamondwood insert handles.

My dream knife is actually that with mamoth ivory insert handles instead, but I don't think $500 would cover that.
 
If I had a spare $500, I might just as well have a spare $2500 (or whatever) and get myself a Bill Bagwell Hell's Belle.:).
 
If I had a spare $500, I would consider a Carson, a Ralph,an Obenauf,and even an SnG or a Sebbie.

Too many great customs....not enough cash.
 
Mine right now would have to be the Executive Scarab. I might end up with one pretty soon enough anyway. ;)
 
Depending on my mood..what day of the week it is....how close Mars is......etc....I'd call.

I would go with something Different like a peter marzitelli Swift claw or a Tank tanium alot of obenauf's stuff looks too much like Ralphs Stuff Imo But he made a damn good knife infact everyone of the makers mentioned here does
 
Bryce, you mean that Obenaufs stuff looks alot like his mentor Carson's right?


If I had that $500, my list would include the Jones boys, Strider, Ralph, and Obenauf. I would get a Carson, but those Obie framelocks are really starting to appeal to me.
 
With the knives that I have on order now, it will be a while before I have a spare $500.00, but if I did I would get a Bush from Tai Goo.
 
Though more than $500 I'd jump on one of the auto knives a maker who goes by the name of striper28 here on this forum. I've seen several of his works of art for sale and I've wish and drooled over them.

Or a Criswell Katana.....
Or One of Tom Johanning's survival knives.

I just got on his list. It's "only" $1200 :)
and a 2 year wait.

If I had a spare $500... I'd buy one of Peter Marzitelli's big wharncliffe folders.
 
How about a beautiful, handmade knife that you would like to use?
