500 Post Giveaway!!!--UPDATED WINNER ANNOUNCED

I love Kershaw but I don't have a Blur. My birthday is on the 28th, so it would be an awesome birthday present :D

Is the rule "Never owned a kershaw" or "don't currently own a kershaw"?

If the latter, I'm in. If not, then I wish everyone else all the luck in the world. :)

Either/or will be fine. I just really enjoy Kershaw blades and want to give someone else a chance at the same.

Funny thing, there is currently another giveaway here in the General Knife Discussion sub-forum for another knife made by Kershsaw which I have also entered for.

I currently don't have any Kershaws in my small and modest collection right now. However, I did used to have a very cool Kershaw Cyclone that I ended up giving to my best friend before he was sent off to Afghanistan. He didn't know too much about knives at the time so I wanted him to be carrying a solid folder out in the battlefield. (he's in the Army)

I really did love that Cyclone but I have not bought another Kershaw ever since and have been wanting to get a new one for a long time now. I am in love with the looks of your Blur from the all black finish (black is my favorite color) and the combo edge. Yes, I am literally one of the only people on Bladeforums that actually prefers combo edges over plain edges. On top of that I would love to win this blade just in case I don't win the Kershaw knife from the other giveaway!!! :p

Great giveaway and great knife. Thanks for letting us take a shot at owning it. :)

Edit to add: If your lovely lady chooses me as the winner I promise that your knife will go to a good home where it will be carried everyday and used in good health. My old Buck Vantage is getting worn down and it will be soon time to find a new edc knife.

Never owned a blur or a kershaw for that matter. I've heard great things about the blur and the assisted opening sounds really something. Thanks for the chance, appreciate the GAW.

IT'S THE SOUND!!!!

I used to own a leek. It's now long gone. But I remember the fast "flick" sound. Just really dug it. Haven't owned a kershaw in a long time.

My friend has a blur and wow! That sound means business. Just a slight nudge and "shhhuck" it slams in to place, ready to go. I love assisted opening knives. The only one I have now is a buck tempest. Much slower than a kershaw.

"Not an Entry"

Just want to say, Once again I am delighted and pleased by what a generous and thoughtful community we have here.

Very good of you to do!

By the way, I've never owned a Blur but it's definitely on the list to try someday. Seems to be a good knife and I only hear good thing's about it. One of these day's when funds allow I hope to pick one up.

A great prize for the lucky winner, good luck all!

I do not currently own a Kershaw Blur. But I have before. A blem from Dave, actually, in S30V.

I de-assisted it and fell in love with how smooth it was. Someone else made me a trade offer for it that I couldn't pass up. I've been meaning to get one back in the collection but i've put off new knives since New Years. This would fit the bill nicely. Even if I don't win i'll end up picking one up anyway.

Thanks for the chance! Good luck guys

Hello, first I would like to thank you for the opportunity to own this knife. Let me start with a little background, growing up I had a few different flea market type knives – nothing that was really worth having or that I carried very often. Fast forwarding to now I have a $2 folder that I’m pretty sure is lost, and a Delica wave that I carry every day. I recently joined this site in search of my next knife and that I found this giveaway. I have been obsessed with fast opening folders and am hoping that this is the knife that I am looking for, that it will prevent me from buying knife after knife ending up in tattered clothes broken on a street corner somewhere because I was in search of my perfect fit.

If you Mrs. Shandrydan1 choose someone other than me for the giveaway I don’t want you to feel guilty when you hear the raspy “kniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvves………” cried in the distance as I search beaten and broken for the knife that is right for me. Just remember me as I am today, soundISH in mind and body. I would also like you to not view this knife as perpetuating the problem, the study shown that the desire to own more knives is 10X the number of knives owned was proven to be flawed. The scientists conducting the study were coating the blades with drugs to push their secret agenda.

In all seriousness this seems like a great fast opening knife that I would be honored to own. Having (essentially) one other folder means that my hands on knowledge will be doubled. It will certainly be appreciated, admired, and most of all used – likely more so that people with several other knives under their belt. Thank you for the chance and taking the time to read this.
Oh and This IS an entry.
Addition: Was sitting up so see who won, now at least I can get some sleep! Have to head to work at 7 am, hope you slept well at least I can look forward to finding out all day tomorrow until I get home. Said it before but its worth saying again, i appreciate the opportunity!

I'm in! Thanks for the chance.

I don't own a Kershaw, but my roommate owns that exact model (blacked out, combo edge).

My roommate is pretty gullible, so if I won the knife, the first thing I'd do is pull a "I took your knife apart and I can't put it back together" prank.

I'm in!

I've never had a blur, but my college roommate had one that he carried with him every day. I had never heard of Kershaw before meeting him, and every time I asked him about the knife all he would say is "Kershaw makes a good knife". I couldn't afford any knives that expensive, so a year or two later I bought a Kershaw Chill. It is one of the best knives I've ever carried, even though it was less than $20. Everyone speaks so highly of the blur, but I've never had the chance to carry one. I think it would make an excellent EDC knife, and I really appreciate the opportunity.

Thanks for the chance :D

So, full disclosure, I do own a small number of Kershaws. I have a pair of imports and a factory blemish Zing that was on sale. I've never owned a Blur (I think I read rule #2 correctly) but have been curious about it ever since hearing about it.

I am around the Kershaw/Zero Tolerance subforum quite a lot (I don't post much because I don't have much to contribute knowledge-wise). There hardly seems to be a day that goes by in which someone is singing the Blur's praises. Its reputation as a sturdy, useful knife has given it a spot on my "would like to see" list. The list is pretty short since there are a lot of other things I'm involved in that take higher priority, but it's there. I think the Blur is an excellent design in terms of utility and beauty. I would be most excited and honored to have the chance.

Above all, this is a very generous gesture, shandrydan1 (and 9blades)!

Thank you very much to both you and your wife! I keep reading how great of a place this is to hang out (except for the wallet) but your generosity just proves it. I haven't been a member long and don't really post because I don't feel I have anything valuable to offer but I appreciate everyone else's knowledge and advice.

This is a wonderful birthday gift...and my wife thanks you as well...she thinks that this will shut me up about wanting a new knife... If she only knew what kind of addiction this really is!

Thank you again!

So, shandrydan1 posted the knife on Monday and I got it yesterday. What a great guy...awesome knife giveaway and super fast shipping! Thanks again to he, his wife and everyone else here who makes this such an awesome place to hangout.

Just need to get some photos and try to post them.
