if your shooting with a digital slr or a manual camera of some sort, bring the apature all the way closed (f22, or f32 usually) in order to get the maximum deph of field!

He He - page 52 of my photobucket account. When I joined this was my numero uno bushy blade (and a leatherman wave).

back in 05 when I joined, my only bush blade, and only blade was a spyderco Manix.

Ah, memories. :)

Congrats on the 5K milestone. That's a big one!!

Although I post on occasion, I am more of a lurker in this forum. So hopefully you will let me play.

Here is a picture of me that I haven't posted before. I caught this dungeness crab by hand on a beach near Florence, OR. It was stuck in a tidepool.

After letting it go, my brother's dog, Kita, thought he would investigate.

Here is a cool carving that I found in the sandstone just down the beach. There's quite a few Oregonians on this forum; maybe someone might recognize this place.

I have a hard time picking out my favorite fixed blade. But since it is the one I trust the most for the widest variety of uses, I will pick my Busse ASH1 SE.

Great pics Jarhead, of course you can enter man!

Those ASHs are pretty sweet blades. That sandstone carving is preety cool!

Well, I'm a ham and I'll just keep posting.....Here I am setting up a fyke net in the lovely Detroit River for research purposes. A fyke net is basically a gian minnow trap for larger fish. As I recall we caught a mess of carp in this set.

Once I almost lost my nipple to a snapping turtle as a younger research tech lifting one of these out. I didn't have a shirt on and the a big snapper was in the trap end. As I lifted the trap out of the water, the turtle stuck its head through the net mesh and bit down right on my nipple. Fortunately, the turtle wasn't really after a meal of my man (boy)-boob. He was just trying to get a hold of something for stability and didn't apply that much force.

Here's a couple of great camp users.

Page 3 - what the hell??? J. Lets get this thread moving.....

Okay - I never had that much luck with the ladies (unlike our Mod). Thats cause I'm just fugly. Another activity, somebody took a picture of me taking a picture. As I recall we were shooting barns that day. At the time of this shot I was in 4th year university. I used to cut my own hair (looks like a flowby).

This is what I shot:

Chest deep in that water? I take it you've given up on the idea of having children :p.

Kidding of course. Great pics.

If you really wanted to grow some extra limbs or a third eye I'd invite you over for a wade in the Rouge river. It burns a little but that goes away after a couple weeks. No long lasting side affects, I swear. It burns a little but that goes away after a couple weeks. No long lasting side affects, I swear. It burns a little but that goes away after a couple weeks. Rupestris, I've been in the rouge. I had a dry suit on though :D Actually they've cleaned up most of the upstream areas of the Rough quite a bit in the last 10 years. The last 1/4 is a concrete cesspool, but the upstream has its merits.

I hope you enjoy the snow this weekend buddy, we had quite the dump didn't we. I had half a mind to PM you to meet in the Waterloo Rec Area on Sat. to enjoy the snow, but chickened out figuring it was way to late to plan anything. Anyhow, I plan on doing my walk in the prairies tomorrow.

Take Care!

Ok, I guess we can call this one. My 10 yr old is gonna pic the winner tommarow.

Becker necker or GSI/ guyot combo, or K&M matchsafe, Winners choice!
