501 upgrade?

Does anyone know if Buck will do a blade steel upgrade too BG-42 on the 501.This is one knife i use quite a bit but i'm not real happy with the 420HC's ability too hold an edge.
I've e-mailed buck with this question but have'nt received a reply.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your email. I did read it and was hoping to find some left over BG-42 501 blades from when we did the Master Series. I was not able to find any though. Your best bet would be to see if you can find one of the Master Series 501MS knives on Ebay or at a knife show. But be prepared to pay a premium, collectors have been snapping them up for a while now.

guyg, i'm with you on that special run of 501 BG-42's. I use my 501 hard every day the only thing i dont like about the knife is the steel.
