5160 bar stock

Looking for some thicker bar stock in 5160. 2"x1" or something thick enough for drifting axe heads. My usual knife sources dont carry anything that thick.

I could weld a carbon bit but if I can do all 5160 I will.

The only place I can think of would be Admiral, as much as I dislike doing business with them I'm sure they have it in those sizes.

Why use 5160, H13 would be much better for drifting tools.

So why 5160? I generally use 4140 or a similar steel for axe heads. Works great, and you can get it in just about any size you could want...

I actually just went ahead and ordered 4140. The steel itself doesnt matter much. I would have guessed 5160 would be common enough to get in those sizes. I was just wanting to make the entire head from a hardenable steel so I could just edge quench instead of welding in a carbon steel bit just for convenience factor.
