I remember a while back, someone saying S7 is alot like Infi. Don't know if it's true and I might be a little off track but eh?

I suppose it has some similarities, but certainly not identical as infi has 2x the Cr. Looks like the pre-2002 version had a lot more differences. I suppose you could almost call infi a stain-resistant S7, but that CR should increase edge retention a bit and reduce toughness over S7. S7 being one of the toughest blade steels used, to my knowledge. SR77 from Busse was supposedly S7.
