5160 Camp knife w/D2 sidekick

I started to send this to David in a pm, but decided it would make more sense to put it where everyone could see it.

"David-

Wanted to drop you a line to make sure you didn't think my reaction to your "critique" thread was negative. BECAUSE... I think the set is awesome! From the lines of the knives, to the design of the sheaths being both single carry AND piggy-back, to the execution of the work itself. GREAT stuff my friend.

You are obviously improving with both design and construction, but it speaks volumes that you are willing to put yourself out on the line in a forum known for people that are willing to critique everything from stuff that could be used as constructive criticism to, "I don't like THAT kind of wood." Good on 'ya David.

I feel bad that my response was dominated by the "burnish your edges" idea, when really that was just a tiny thing I saw that could improve an already great set of knives/sheaths.

Keep it up David... you're on a roll :D "

I see it at work everyday. My coworkers are ALL OVER somebody if they see something they don't like, but it is a rare occasion that they'll bring it up when you do something right. And FYI- I just mean in regard to MY response to David... not anyone else's. :)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!! :D

Nick, although it wasn't necessary to explain yourself, I appreciate it nonetheless :) I in no way took your critique in a negative light, on the contrary. Man........ when you speak, I take notes brother   ;) How the heck do you think my work is improving :D Having no mentors to call on within 100's of miles of me its BladeForums and guys like you that have put the bar so very high. If a guy is listening, he can't help but get better. Thanks again

Thank you DavidZ :)
