Everyone,
I have been a long time Bowie knife fanatic and decided to forge one myself. Plus, everyone should own at least one of the original American fighting "tactical" knives. Super quick in the hand and razor sharp. Here are the particulars:
Blade: 9.25" hand forged 5160 steel. Flat grind with a convex edge for durability. 600 grit hand satin finish. Rockwell of 62. Clip has a long swedge ground in as well.
Fittings: Etched 5160 guard, spacer, butt cap (contoured to the stag) and finial.
Handle: Amazing piece of 35 year old Sambar Stag. Stag has been epoxy bedded with a release agent.
Sheath: Dark brown Oak double shoulder leather with a peened solid brass belt frog.
Overall: 14.25" overall.
Price is SPF shipped. Comes with a padded zippered Cordura case and COA.
