Here is a Kiridashi I made from a piece of scrap that I almost threw away. Its Aldo's 1/4" 5160. It was thermal cycled 3 times for grain refinement, fully hardened, & triple tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 59-60. It has a right hand chisel grind with an ever so slight back bevel, mostly just to remove the burr/wire edge. I left the round mill edge on the spine and etched it in Ferric Chloride. Its 5" long, 1&5/16" wide at the widest point, & has a 1&5/8" cutting edge.
