5160 or BG-42 Folding Hunter

I just got two Oak 5160s, one with very nice scales and the other not so much, but still nice enough. I wanted one as a user anyway to let the blade earn a nice patina, and I figure the scales will grow on me with time and use. In fact, the thought occurs to me that I'll use it to cut up my New Year's Eve ribeye, tuck into my baked potato and so on and so forth. The wife and kids think I'm kind of weird for doing things like that, and maybe I am, but I still like doing it. Besides, the blood of good, hot cooked beef is one of my favorites for starting a patina.

By the way, fit and finish on both knives are very good -- well-centered blades (the user just slightly off but not touching the liner), no gaps anywhere, no wobble, no unusual tooling marks, sharp enough to shave paper pretty well, etc. These are the first new Bucks I've purchased in maybe a decade and it's good to see that they still put out quality products, especially for the price.
