My low Cr steels pre-harden-ht is time consuming, hence try to simplify. I established a quick baseline. Well seem, I won't able to just harden from *as bought* stock in fine-spheroidized condition. I'd tested a blade hardened from FS condition (65rc AQ, tempered to 63rc). It performed well until destructed-test by hammer through a nail - broken in half with sort of 'C' fractured line. This result indicate low impact load and undesirable crack propagation - i.e. a big chip/dent would be much better outcome. To be clear - this knife would performs very well in actual service/duty. ymmv
