I've gotten alot of requests from people for blanks lately so I figured I'd make a few for guys who like to do handles themselves.
They are ground, sharpened and ready for handles. They have two .25 holes and a .375 hole for pins and lanyards. Like all my blades, these are warrantied for life against breakage or extreme damage. Up for sale are 3 of my Machete blanks.
Here's a quick write up on this style of machete.
The Fell Beast is a new hybrid breed of machete that I've developed specifically for use in hardwood forests where extreme durability is required and failure is not an option. It is a heavier, more powerful machete designed for everything from clearing blackberries to felling hardwood trees. They are extremely tough, fast in hand, and with proper technique, will out chop any tool in its weight class. Made from 52100 steel with a spring tempered spine and 58RC edge, these will hold up to extreme use where other machetes chip, roll, or suffer catastrophic failure.
I have up for sale today (1) Classic model, (1) Bolo model and (1) Diet Bolo with a satin scotchbrite finish. The temper lines on all of these are visible and look awesome.
The Diet Bolo is a pretty special little blade. It is the first one I've ever made and I'd love to hear feedback from whoever buys it. Its 3 inches shorter than the normal bolo and has a wider blade. Its designed to be more compact than the standard model while maintaining chopping power. It has a blended convex grind and a nice satin finish.
I goofed a little bit on my finishing pass on the bolo and classic model so there is a little bit of the patina worn off where is made contact with the scotchbrite belt. I've included pictures.
