I'm wondering how many of you would be interested in 1/4" 52100 flat stock. I am able to get cross rolled sheets and am looking for someone that can shear it. I'm figuring 1": 11/4"; 11/2" and 2".I won't have any prices till I work out the details. Any comments?

Well Aldo it looks like you're back :) Glad to see you're still able to grab some attention on this forum. You always did know what everyone has a hard time finding. It's really great to see you back to your old self again. :D

So......I guess I should pursue this! Nick, no I never sleep(unless I stay still for more than 10 minutes). I'm sure it is available thinner but we have to start somewhere. Troop, I can always count on the NJ State Police for a good order. This time it's my turn to deliver. Maybe early on a Saturday. Mike, I never left, I've just been busy making money to pay NJ State Property Taxes. (See Troop!)

I should have some info. within a week.

well depending on price i will want some as well. i'm still kicken my sleff for not geting more then 120 pounds of that 5160 burton had for an amazing price.

Hey Aldo,

For me being interested and being able to afford it are unfortunately not the same thing. I'm still trying to come up with some bucks for some 1084. I put it on my Christmas wish list, but I guess it just was too weird for my family to tackle. But hope springs eternal, they say, and I'm still hopeful...now for some 52100 as well!

All the best, Phil

Aldo,

As a last resort, we can shear it at my work- our shear will put a bad twist on strips, though.

whats a "cross-rolled sheet"?

Aldo, Please bring some more of that sweet 1084 with you. I guess I'll have to feed you this time...maybe I can scrape up an MRE for you to chew on.:)

Pat,

I need a big enough shear to do it right the 1st time. What is actually needed is a very long punch press.

Cross rolling is simply rolling the hot material in 2 directions. Cause and effects I'll leave to the metallurgists. May be one of you can chime in. I just find the stuff.:D
