52100 Heat Treat - Goof / Operator Error

So this morning I went for round #2 of tempering my 52100 blades. I hit recall on my Evenheat and usually it displays the last run program, in this case temper session #1, so I hit run and walked away for about 10 min. When I came back the oven was in the mid 800's, it was running the hardening program. I immediately pulled the blades and let them air cool. When checked with a file, they seem soft. I assume my only action is to re-harden and temper as usual??

Wasn't thinking about April Fools....my 21yr old got me and the wife tonight....explained how he met a girl recently and was about to become a daddy....almost sent me into cardiac arrest, etc......he got us good....suggested he take up acting.

BTW....the blades went back in the oven....did the HT well and first tempering session....all is good.
