Here is a knife I recently finished. It is inspired by a George Herron pattern medium Bigby. I modified an actual pattern from George Herron's shop by making it a little more utilitarian (removing the guard and making it all one piece). The blade is 52100, triple quenched, triple tempered to 60 Rockwell hardness (determined by averaging 5 separate readings on my tester). The blade is flat ground with a convex edge sharpened on my Shapton glass stones (scary sharp). It has a super fine scotchbrite finish. The handle is black canvas micarta with stainless corby bolts.

Blade is 3.5 inches (1/8 52100 stock, tapered tang)
Handle is 4.5 inches (black canvas micarta, stainless Corby bolts)

The knife comes with a right handed horizontal carry kydex sheath.

I'm asking $155, paypal preferred. I will also accept bitcoins (first knifemaker ever maybe?) That includes insured shipping to the continental United States. Please post here if you would like to purchase the knife and message me for payment details.

Thanks for looking.

Here is a video of me cutting some 3/4 inch hemp rope, paper, and leather.

Nice pickup tknife. If I hadn't been broke lately I would have snagged that one. Congrats on the sale Shaw!

Thanks man. It is a very nice knife. I got nothing but good feedback on it from some mastersmiths this weekend at the Little Rock show.

It looks like an awesome knife. I guess that micarta worked out for you after all.

I'm not surprised at all. It's just a solid workign design seemingly executed really well.
