52100 Repost Price Drop SOLD

This knife was forged from Aldo's 3/16" 52100. It has a 4 1/8" blade. It is flat ground with a very thin convex edge. The handle is 4 1/8" with black Micarta, two brass pins and a brass tube held on with G-Flex. Heat treated to 59-60 RC. Hand stitched leather sheath.

Nice knife but bad time for me, but I really like the leather used in the sheath. What type of leather is that?

Thanks Don,It's tooled 6/7 oz. vegetable tanned leather. The tool has little bumps all over it.

Thanks for your reply; I saw sheath several years ago made from pig skin with a similar look I really liked. I recently tried unsuccessfully to have a sheath made from that type pig skin but couldn't anyone that could do it.

A lot of the old pig skin sheaths had a wooden or bark insert pig skin is tough.
