Hi Friends,

I might be able to score some 52100 steel in 1" round stock. Is anyone interested in buying some? I'd bundle it in 50 pounds lots, which would be about twenty 12" long pieces. It's got a little surface rust, but not severe. If I can get this stuff it would be $150 for 50 lbs cut, crated and flat rate shipped. $125 if you can get it from me while I'm in NH/MA in July.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks, Phil

Hi Guys,

Guess this is a bust. Glad I didn't buy a lot of it prematurely. Is it that the price is too high, or just not a very desirable steel....or, have you all already got tons of this stuff stock piled :o?

Aloha, Phil

My problem is I already have a lot of other steels stock piled. I think it would be a great deal for making some integrals and would kind of like to have some. Just to many other irons in the fire right now.

Sounds like a good deal but I cant be sure if I will be able to come up with the $ 150 . Otherwise I would be down for some.

do you still have axcess to this still.

I don't know guys, I'd have to check, probably still can get. It's from a pretty good sized manufacturing company. When I was looking at this last year I had planned on timing it for a trip to the mainland in NH. That way I wouldn't be paying shipping to Hawaii. I was going to to cut and bundle it for re-mailing while visiting my folks in NH. The shipping was going to be via a wood lined flat rate priority mail box, which can weigh up to 70 lbs. Last time I looked, as I recall, it cost another $10 to Canada, but with a weight limit of 20lbs.
