525 age with no date mark??

Hello All,

I recently aquired a few Buck 525's 2 have the normal date codes but 1 has no code and the Buck is in a script type letter head. Just wondering when it might have been made.

Hello,
The 525 came out in late 1983 and we know the date code was added in 1986 so that would be the range your knife falls into. You can also find the 525, and some other models, with one dot after the number. We believe this was done in 1985 so that narrows it down a little more.

Thanks Joe I thought it was an older model i like the script lettering on this one.
