Does anyone know how many of the different scenes in the 525 Gent wildlife series were produced? I have the bear, elk and wolf and would like to know how many are left in the series. Thanks!
TerryM,
The 525 has been used for many animal pictures and they were not all under the "wildlife series" category. I recall many in the Memory series and the Artist series. On top of that, Buck did numerous wildlife scenes as special projects featuring companies, organizations, zoological societies and the like.
The Buck special project/limited editions pages found in the new Blade's Guide to Knives and Their Values lists many of them. I would start there.
I believe this is the Artist series. It was discontinued in 2003. WtheB, the black bear knife has a picture of two canoists viewing a bear so that could be the canoe one your talking about. I'd like to know when I can consider the series complete. I'll look for the bass and eagle. Anyone else familiar with this series?
...Guess what Terry...It ain't EVER gonna be complete. Somewhere, somehow, someone will find an aberation in another 525 that someone tossed away in a drawer somewhere, someplace and that will open a whole new avenue to walk down and at that time everyone will start looking for that particular aberation. While it's being searched out , other variations will be seen and cataloged by someone else, someplace else at some time...and you'll start searching for it...and it goes on and on and on and on and..........Ahhh...That's what collecting Bucks is all about...LOL...Just run with it and have fun...
