532 Bucklocks

Well since I found out that I really like the 532 I had to order those two web special 532s. . g

Looks like you might have got the last of the wood and mammoth tooth ones on the web special page. It's gone, the only one left is the giraffe bone now.

Isn't it Rosewood?

Hasman,

The 2000 Dealer Workbook has the three listed as Walnut, Blue, & Red.
The 2000 Dealer Price List has them listed as Walnut, Indigo, & Cherry.
The number on the box is B532-RD-0 Cat#2928

Quite frankly, it looks like what they call rosewood on current knives. And the Blue/Indigo looks green.

Since the box say RD and the Catalog says RED, I'd say it would be proper to call it red and not cherry or rosewood.

On a side note, the Ironwood 532 that's been up on the Web special page is gone as of this morning. It may be back we've seen them do that before.

I could learn to love those two beauties

Grim, that's easy to believe...I think I have too.

Thank you for details!
Looks like I have one B532-RD-0/#2928, but wood there is so deep dark red that I thought it is a real Rosewood. That one is the best out of the three 2000/BG-42.

Has,

Those red/cherry handles are very nice ones. Way better than what they're calling cherry on on the custom shop 110s.

Anyway, I was hoping some of you other fellas would post some pictures of your different Bucklocks. I know some of ya'll got some real nice ones.

Plum,

Since you already have the Ironwood/M. Tooth 532 I want you to check something for me please. The write up on the web special page said 154cm but I just saw in list as having a mirror 420hc blade on fleabay. So, we know that the listing can/has been wrong so would you check for me?? Or anyone that knows. Thanks g

The web specail page is wrong (do I spot a trend here?), the knife has a mirror polished 420HC blade.

Thanks Dave. A 420hc w/ a mirror finish is good with me. I don't think I'll be gutting any bream perches with it.

Since I found out I actually like the 532 I've been working on the herd.
One missing is the 1991 Pat. Pend Bucklocker with J.R. engraved on the bolster but this is a nice picture of the five. That barehead is awsome!!!

That's a beautiful collection you have going there Gordon. I'll have to get the ambition up and get mine all together for a picture. We have some of the same ones. And you are right, the barehead is a great one. I particularly like that one. What number did you get?

What number did you get?

132/200 This barehead and that 500 barehead I just got are really custom quality superb knives.

I've got to find an EDC BG42 532 in lightly used condition. I'm hoping for a fleabay listing where the knife has some pocket rash on the bolster and scale but a almost unused blade. Then Gordo gonna puts something fancy on it and make it look new again for my own personal pocket carry. Well we'll see.
