I have a crown I used to wear that is pretty much the same idea, but with 70 feet of cord. I used to walk around with enough line for 5 simultaneous necktie parties...used to amuse myself thinking about it when I was bored in line and whatnot. I could even add a cloth for protection from harsh UV rays...it was awesome.
Unfortunately, post 9/11, the sheeple find big bearded guys with strange head coverings to be very threatening apparently. After the second time I had the police called on me, LadyThud laid down the law, and my "crown" was retired.
Braided paracord looks awesome...I think it makes great jewelry.
