551 or 560?

I am with the 0560/1 crowd. I have both also along with a couple other ZT's and the 0560 is my hands down favorite of the bunch.

I paid less than $200 a piece for my 0551's locally - plus s/t - last year. The remaining stock has crept up a bit lately - but they really are nice. I really do like my 0561... but I like the 0551 more!

I have carried both for the last month or two and the 560 just went in the safe. The 550 with it's orange scale and fast opening with a quick movement of the thumb is amazing. Both are in order, and I imagine the 560 will come back out in a week to trade spots.
 
my vote it for the 560
cause of the flipper, and the textured titanium oh yeah and the kvt.

i really want one of these knives. lol
 
550 here. Don't get me wrong I have all of them 550, 551, 560, 561. The 56x are great, the flipper takes getting used too if you never had one. The 550 is more comfortable in my hands, the lock bar and edges on my 56x's are a bit sharp. Both knives are going to take some pocket space, but look at what you get! Both have great steels, s35vn is great, elmax is excellent. I really don't think you can go wrong. I have the translucent green scale on my 550, the 550 does have scales from rick hinderer available now, unlike the 56x. So for the price of a 56x you get a 550 plus a spare scale made by rick hinderer, food for thought...
 
I would say if you can only get one, get a 056X. My 0561 is just an amazing piece of work. I cannot even believe they are mass produced knives. Are they perfect? No. Best knife ever? No. It's not anything I can even quantify, it's just so sooo good. Mine hasn't left my side since I received it.
 
If I could have only one, it would be the 0560/0561. I like the contoured handles, flipper, and KVT bearings. Just my preference, take it or leave it. :)
 
Yep, 056x, hands down. I lobe my 550, but my 0560 has much better egos, smoother action, and I think Elmax is possibly the best steel out ther, in a production folder, at least. I will be ordering a 0561 soon....

0561 is my preference as well, though the more I play with a 0550 it grows on me. The 0561 fits more comfortably in my hand with the contoured scales. Plus, we do a lot of knives with black g10 scales. I think the brown on the 0561 makes is a little more unique. Just my opinion, though.

Its like when you have access to so many different knives, how do you decide which ones you actually like and want to keep?
 
ya know the 0561 when compared to the xm-24 is about the same size - yes, the hinderer is a little more beefy but it costs about a grand more - the 0561 is da bomb!

My vote is for the 0560/0561. Having owned a 0550, which is a great knife, I just like the 0560/0561 series better.
