What year did the 560 handle change? The early models were like the 186 but they were changed in what year?

Researching the 186/560 is on my to do list. There were a bunch of little changes over the years and I would love to document them.
Buck 110 stole my thunder, I was going to impress you with the information about those early 560's using old 186 parts. I was too slow on the keyboard!

F.Y.I.: The very early 560s(1987) came with un-used 186 liners/handles. You can see where the pocket clip was "supposed" to go on these specimens.

Were they held together with rivets or screws? They must be very rare! Oh know yet another Buck to look for.....................

F.Y.I.: The earliest 186s had Phrobis stamped into the left liner/scale.

I have seen photo's of a 186 Phrobis. I thought it was a fake. Now you have given me two knives to look for!

Here is a link to photo's of the Phrobis 186. One side looks as if it was supposed to be held together with rivets.
