Wow some amazing shots you got there. That first sunset shot is stunning,as well as the last shot in the first set.

Thanks for sharing

That sunset was indeed beautiful. I hiked up three mountains and watched the sunset from the top, then slept in a mountain patrol shack for a few hours and hiked back down in the dark. I could see myself going back to Utah. :)

That one with me standing on a rock was in Arches National Park, Moab, Utah. I don't think you're supposed to climb there. I got real high above everyone then yelled at my dad to get a picture of me. Here's another I took with my phone:

Glad you guys like them. Highly recommend going out there if you've never been.

What's the deal with the exploded tree?

Beautiful photos. As others have said, I've got to get out there and check it out. I've only seen Utah from the air and of course the airport doing plane changes.

What's the deal with the exploded tree?

We had some heavy wind during a recent storm and I went out to all my favorites woods to inspect the damage. That tree stuck out to me because I'd never seen that before. It looked like a giant just bent it right above the base of the trunk. You could still feel the tension in those strands of wood in the middle where it ripped apart.

Whoa! Wht a great set of pics. Very cool indeed!

Great pics. I loved arches when I went!

I've ran around arches just last year.

can't wait to get back out there
