5k gaw!!

Geeze I hope I don't let you down. Now the pressure it's really on. I didn't know I'd be your first... ;)
You were my first, and it was awesome. I'm sure you'll do fine :D

Wait, now Ahm cornfuzed.....he's my first but I'm still getting sloppy seconds?

No pressure, friend. I'm absolutely sure it'll be JUST perfect.......

Haha. That's hilarious!
Nick's was actually my first "high dollar" leather sheath.
Come to think of it, he did my last sheath as well.
The man knows how to make a damn fine sheath! Damn fine.

Hahaha this is some good stuff!!

Too long I've had this wonderful piece of Nick's craftsmanship without sharing or saying thank you. So first, let me say thank you to Nick. This sheath is, well - it's something I plan to treasure and use (I've already started). I really like it - it looks good, it carries well, it kinda makes me feel good when it's on my belt and, most importantly, my (custom) 15 fits like it was molded to it. So thanks again for turning me into a leather sheath guy. It's funny, but people don't mention or seem to take notice as much of a knife in a leather belt sheath vs. the same knife in a Kydex or Cordura sheath. It's already getting some use and will only get more.

Now for the sharing. I finally took some pics in the garage the other day - 'cause I got tired of waiting to have a window to take them outside. Please excuse the lighting.

Absolutely GREAT GAW, Nick!
And I'm not just saying that 'cause you made me a sheath....

dang mike, that's one shiny handle! that setup looks absolutely flawless, enjoy it and use it a lot.

I suspect Nick caved in to your inner child threat :D

Thanks, ZN! It's even shinier in real life, which - was not exactly what I was going for......

And I've never made a face like that where I actually meant it. Think "Sir Robin the Brave" from The Holy Grail.....

Yeah man, that's a 15 deserving of some nice leather.
Great work Nick!

Thank you, too! He did do a superlative job.

GSOM, I found that people tend to notice tactical looking stuff hanging from your belt more so that leather. Looks like it's a good match too; your knife and the sheath. I'm super happy you're liking it!

Who knows I might have another gaw after our gathering out here. May be a sheath, but also may be one of my knives (if the mods allow).

Thanks for the kind words fellas!! I did this gaw to give back to the forum not for the recognition. I've learned a lot and have had my share of prizes. This is the best community on Bladeforums and I hope it stays that way for years to come!!

Is that your drunken-fileworked 15? [emoji6] Looks great in leather pants. Congrats on the win!

That reminds me, I've gone 2k + posts without doing a GAW. I've learned so much here, and this place is filled with great folks. Promise to self, a GAW is in order before the year is over.
