5th Pocket Love

Nice to see I'm not the only one. I like the little fixed blades in that pocket, I'll have to look into one of those. Using this 5th pocket was primarily to free up my right front pocket. This left me searching for a place for my Endura which I've now been carrying inside the waist band (IWB) at 3:30ish position now for the last month. I saw another forum member mention this carry method and, after giving it a try, I am sold. I pretty much forget its there until I need it or I am dropping a poo.

My Buck 301 rides in my watch pocket often. I sometimes worry about it falling out, but it hasn't happened yet.

As much as I love my stockman, the real king of my watch pocket is my Spyderco Cricket!

My fifth pocket at work gets a leatherman juice s2, and usually outside of work it gets an ambitious with a zip tie so I can wave it out of pocket.

I carry everything from a Delica, Chaparral, Dragonfly, Manbug, to a SAK, all without clips, in the watch pocket of my jeans. I have been carrying knives in that pocket (since I do not have a pocket watch right now), for many, many years.

I carry my Spyderco Roadie in my coin pocket daily. Great companion to a larger clipped folder for me.

Most of my knives ride in the 5th pocket. Everyday for work, my Buck 55 nestles down in the 5th pocket awaiting a lunchtime apple or orange.

I haven't done it recently, but a Cold Steel Micro Recon 1 makes a great cheap little 5th pocket knife. I threw a lanyard on with a knot on the end that was just the right length to sit at the top. Made for easy carry and easy extraction.

I've done it from time to time but haven't found anything I really like in that pocket until this week. I picked up a Graham GMT Stubby Razel and it fits very nicely in the 5th pocket of my jeans and khakis. Its unique clip is also very subtle.

It's the one on the bottom. If anyone can carry a Spyderco PM2 in the 5th pocket all day I'd like to see it! The knife clipped in the main pocket is a Zero Tolerance 0808 with a factory low ride clip installed.

BTW: I saw this topic on another forum and thought it was interesting. Figured it was better to post here than start something new.

I've also used the 5th pocket to carry an extra mag for my pocket pistol.[/QUOTE]

Now that's impressive. How do you carry a mag in your 5th pocket? You must either wear MC hammer pants or you carry, a BB gun? Lol.

I've had 3 pocket pistols with magazines small enough to fit in the watch pocket.

Currently I keep a traditional Barlow, jack knife, or one of my modified single blades and a single AAA CREE flashlight in that pocket every day. I also carry a larger modern OHO and a pistol, but those locations vary depending on if I got cargo pockets or not ;)

I have 2 favorites for my watch pockets.
Lil Nilakka and a Cat. Those little guy slice like pissed off demons and come in very handy throughout the day!!
That Lil Nilakka is one fantastic little knife!!IMG_2522.JPGIMG_2595.JPG

The only knife I carry in that pocket is my 303, fits like a charm. The only reason I don't carry it more often is because it makes it uncomfortable to reach into my right side pocket then(that little 303 lump sticks out a bit too much).

Is that the coin pocket?
Heck no, young sir. Folks don't carry coins any more. That's the watch-pocket. And I do carry a pocket-watch since I retired a hunerd yrs ago.
:)
BTW, that pocket is a good fit for the RAT-2.

That's what I thought.
