6.5 Bone Stag?

Hi,

Forgive my silly question, but what exactly is 6.5 Bone Stag? I know what bone stag is, but what does the 6.5 mean? Does it refer to the jigging pattern?

It is part of the tang stamp that indicates the handle material. 6.5 is bone stag, 5 is stag, and 6 is for bone and some synthetics.

It's bone that is jigged to look like stag. Case does an open-flame heat treat that gives the bonestag an aged look.

Thanks Guys! I hope they didn't discontinue it. Bone stag is nice looking and feels good in the hand. But sadly, I think good to very good quality natural materials are getting too hard to come by in volume and too high in cost. Let's hope they keep it in the line up!
