For your consideration, a 6.5" Chef's knife in 154CM, handled in stabilized Box Elder Burl and Desert Ironwood, with G10 and copper spacers. Hand finished to 600 grit, taken to 0.004" at the edge before sharpening. Heat treatment by Peters to 60 HRC, sharpened 20 degrees inclusive. The saya is beautiful quilted maple with hand carved blade relief, and it matches the color of the box elder quite closely.

The steel used here was kind of a goofy situation where a supplier sent me the wrong thing, and as such it is possible that it is in actually CPM154, since its chemistry is identical. In fact I suspect it is, I took some of this up to 1000 grit and gave it a buff and could not see any alloy banding or splotches. Nonetheless I am advertising and pricing it as 154CM, which is $50 less than my standard rate, since I can't be 100% sure. Thanks for having a look and please respond with any questions. wheelerknifeworks@gmail.com

Good Morning Phil, I'll take her if still available...sending you an email as well. Thanks-

Shawn

beautiful - I like knives in the 6.5" range, due to my small counter.

Thanks! You know, I wouldn't have thought a couple inches in blade length would make a difference there, but it really does. Both of my keeper chef's knives so far have been 10", my next will probably be 7" for exactly this reason.
