#6 almost finished

if #6 means your sixth knife i'm very impressed. i'd be impressed if you said that was your 50th.

looking good ! great job on the handle, nicely centered layers.

Thanks! Working with multi-color phenolic has proven challenging. Really like the look of it on a simple "egg shaped" handle though. I have used canvas and linen Micarta. Want to try burlap next. Seems harder to find though.

Simple, useful, well executed. Great job! I wish more people would make their first knives like that.

That's key, walk befor you run. But ALLWAYS push for perfection even on a simple knife. We have had people on the form that that just go wild crazy right out of the gate and the quality is severely lacking. Kinda like diamonds, it's not just how big it is that affects its price but how well it's cut and how clear it is. I would rather have a smaller perfect diamond then a huge one that has really large inclusions and an off color. Keep up the good work my man and I look forward to knife #7

I appreciate the encouragement JT. Already started #7. Going to try a Kwaiken.

I like it, What steel?

Thanks! The steel is 5/32" 1084 from Aldo. Heat treated by me.

I'm also curious as to what steel you used, I really like the finish on that blade--as JT said really neat and clean--nice work brother!
