This is a larger clipped point blade. The steel is 5/32" 1095 high carbon steel with the heat treat colors left on the flats. It has a saber grind and a sharp 90 deg spine. The blade has a 5 3/4" cutting edge with an overall length of 10 3/4". The balance is right between the ricasso and the front edge of the wood. It is very comfortable and fast in the hand.
The handle is a beautiful piece of English walnut, with a black G10 liner. It has a slight curl at the end to help when extending the grip. The nickel silver pins form a cross with a small tube in the center. It has been hand shaped and finished with Danish oil. This one is made from simple materials but this is a case where the whole is more than the sum of its parts.
The sheath is hand tooled and sewn. It was sealed and then treated with a coating of Obanauf's. It has been dyed to accent the colors of the wood handle.
