And Then There Were Two:
I have cleaned up this post and added some better pics.
Here are a few blades I have made recently to show off or experiment with new custom laminates (handmade mycartas) . That and have some fun assembling knives. :devil1:
Damascus and Dragon's Breath
Hidden tang construction. Distinctive pattern welded steel from Delbert Ealy Delbert also did the grind and heat treated the blade.
The thin, flat grind with distal taper, makes for a wicked sharp knife.
Handle is my custom “dragons breath“ laminate, a black, brown and red canvas twist, with a linseed oil finish. Copper bolster, spacer and pin. Black linen at the first finger.
OAL 9-1/8”, Blade is 1/8” x 4-1/8” (3-3/4” sharp) and a handle 5” long
Black tooled leather sheath was excellently made by Rick of RG Leather, aka Rayban here on the forums.
I am asking $170 for this one. ***SPF***
A-2 Chute Knife with Camo Burlap
This is a blade I purchased from Knifemaker Tim Olt at a knife show recently.
The blade is A-2 at 59 RC
The handle is another one burlap in camo colors and is laid up extra thick and assembled on the blade showing the “end grain” of the laminate for a very unique and distinctive look.
The handle is held in place with marine epoxy, brass pins and a single brass Corby bolt and lanyard hole is lined brass tubing.
Swedge is unsharpened
OAL is 10-1/4” blade is 3/16” x 4-5/8” and the handle 5-5/8”
Kydex sheath was made by Kiah of http://www.customkydex.com/ and is just the right thing for this one
I am asking $150 for this one and I can supply a large tek-lok and mounting hardware with this, if desired, for an additional $8
USPS priority shipping is included in the prices.
Insurance at your request and expense.
Paypal preferred, but I will be happy to work with other forms of payment. Paypal fees are on me.
I will ship international for the actual postage costs and your promise that you do not ask me to lie on the customs forms.
Thanks for looking,
-Todd
