Hi there!

Here is my latest knife for sale, I hope you like it.

This blade is hand forged to final thickness. Normalized, thermal cycled 3 times, annealed and finally clay-quenched in water.

It has a slight convex grind to near zero before final sharpening. The blade is hand polished to a 1000 grit before starting the etching cycles.

This one doesn't have my makers mark. I managed to forget to stamp in my initials prior to quenching. :grumpy:

Steel: White #2
HRC: 62-63

OAL: 11" 1/2
Blade length: 6"
Width at the heel: 40mm
Thickness: 2.2mm

Handle: Ebony & stabilized spalted Beech

Price: WAS 270 USD NOW 230 USD shipped! SOLD

Seriously wow! That's going to be a joy to use for the lucky person who gets it!

Congrats Jelle! I remember you wrote about doing this, and you really did a great job... That is pretty damn sweet!

I've always wanted to try white #2, especially for hamon... overall the knife is gorgeous, but my favorite part is the grain in the steel out at the tip, above the hamon... just beautiful!

Thanks Salem. I agree, it's my favorite part as well. There's similar activity going on at the heel. It's interesting that on the top, softer, section of the blade, the alloy banding is much more visible and pronounced than on the hardened section of the blade.
