Sylvrfalcn made these fixed blade knives from old files. He has donated them to be sold to provide for living expenses for Rameshwor Sunar, a medical student from Nepal. Ram is the son of Sgt. Khadka who works in the Himalayan Imports shop part time. Ram is the first in his family to read and write, and plans to return to Nepal to provide medical care for the people of the villages.

All of the blades were tempered after grinding, and have been carried and used by the maker. They are good solid working knives. I’ve been carrying one for a week and I love it. The Scandinavian type dangler sheaths are really sweet. All prices are shipped conus by usps priority. USPS money order, Paypal +3%, or check if I know you. First email “I’ll take it” gets the knife. sferguson2@triad.rr.com

These aren’t highly finished safe queens, they are made to be used. Made to cut stuff. A quote from Sarge himself “My knives ain't the prettiest, but they cut and hold an edge pretty well.”

Thanks for looking,
Steve Ferguson

Steve, the link to the site isn't working. I'd be interested in hearing more about Ram's situation. Thanks.

I think Sarge does himself a dis-service, I think they are very stylish. I also think they were underpriced as they went so quick! :D

All sold within TWELVE hours!!!! On a Sunday night !!!

I think we have a winner blade-maker, and a great cause, here, Ladies and Gentlemuns.

Nice Steve. Very Nice.

Mike, that is the exact one I would have gone for, although they are all very nice. Good snag! Can't believe they went this fast on a Sunday night. Skipped checking my mail yesterday but thought for sure they would still be selling. Hope to check out the next batch. Great little knives for a great cause.

Regards,

Norm

Thanks, Norm.

We're still waiting on the HI skean dubhs, designed by Sarge, so an actual Sarge-made one is a neat thing to have in the meantime. (Or anytime!)

As Bill used to say,

"Stay tuned."

You guys make me proud to know ya. I donate some scruffy old knives and y'all snap 'em up like DOTDs. Investing in Ram's future as the first doctor in his village is investing in help and hope for folks who've gone too long without any. That's a lot to put on a young fellow's shoulders, but I've no doubt he's got his father's courage and fortitude. Hats off to Steve for his tireless work and ceaseless generosity, he's the "tip of the spear" for the rest of us that want to help out in this effort. Y'all going to get me talking all mushy if I don't watch out, reckon I'd best toss a cane pole in the truck and head on down to the river. Reckon the simplest thing to say is thanks, thanks guys.

Sarge, as far as I'm concerned snagging one of your "scruffy old knives" gives me some clear bragging rights! I managed to wake up long enough to snag #9 today, and it is a beautiful little puukko, and I love the sheath. (I also would have loved to have been able to get an antler handled one like #1.) I can't imagine the number of hours you put in making 16 of these, only to donate them all. Sending a check is incredibly easy by comparison. Anyway, I'm proud to say that I have one of your knives, and equally proud to say that I have made your acquaintance here on the forum.

You and Steve both have some serious good karma coming your way!

All the best,

Norm

before i retire i must say, i definitely echo the above, and yay, double it, for i went for two blades, and though they have not arrived as yet, i await their glory. cool bean. we shall see what we shall see. :> i expect true glory :)

hell, the sheaths were worth the price alone.

No. 3, the skean dhu, came. What a little treasure! Perfect jimping. Though highly polished, just a little file crosshatch is left in as a hand-made heritage reminder.

Another, No. 8 from the other thread, came with it. Bolivian rosewood never looked better. It matches the grips on my .45. Neat. And the leatherwork on both sheaths is very very well done.

They are both going places with me. Sarge, your knives are even better in person. Many thanks. You're super to help Ram like that. Good karma piles up like money in the bank, but better.

I never could win anything in the Ram raffles, but I won big this time.

Please keep making knives!

Mike

Steve, Sarge, and Ram...

It just keeps on going around. Someday, somebody, somewhere will be better, healthier, or live longer because these three folks DID something.

Neat to know.
