I saw in another post a link for a 600 dollar power hammer rusty, dusty and super rusty by name-appalachian power hammer i believe. I wonder does anyone have any info on these? Such as pros n cons? If i can get me a power hammer that works well for less than a thousand i sure as heck gonna do it! But i would like to get some reviews from folks that have used or built one if possible. If one a ya'll fine folks could shed some light on this for me i'd be most appreciative.:D

The Appalachian Power hammer is a build it yourself kind of thing. The plans are available, and easy to follow. It is quite simple to tailor the build to what materials you have available. That said, it isn't a Little Giant or Beaudry. Do some searches on- power hammer plans; junk yard power hammer; and Appalachian power hammer .

I built one a few years ago, the plans or my ability searously lacked detail. It worked, but not very well.

The best I've used is the tire hammer, I didn't build it, managed to find a used one that the owner was selling to help pay for an air hammer. Clay has classes and I believe detailed plans availible. Hits hard and fast, or slow and soft, or anywhere inbetween.
