Gearbox wowbagger? Never used one but that might be his best option.
My road bike is Columbus tubed, hand pinned & fully chromed. Have a Ti hardtail and... an aluminum FS. Sold the (steel) BMX a while back since I never used it. I believe it was a Lightspeed that broke at the rear chainstay, probably another case of bad welding more than anything. Ti is pretty damn sturdy stuff.

I love my Protechs too, I am sorely tempted to see if they will make me a custom CQC7 in Ti but I have a feeling A) they would and B) the price would make me cringe.
