Bobcats? I've seen a couple of European lynxes in the woods, a lot bigger than the bobcats you have over there. They're nice little creatures, though - about as likely to attack you as bring you some chocolate and a valentine's day card. But if they were to attack, things could get nasty. The man showed a lot of guts just choking the cat out. Anything else and he'd probably have been sent to the hospital for fixing...
