639 tang shape & rehandle

I just picked a 639-B1 . The finish on ,blade,crossguard (black spacer) and pommel(black spacer) are sandblasted with a flat black phenolic handle. It looks exactly like Herb's but Not marked BUCK U.S.A. with a serial # and has the sawteeth. I guess looking at Herb's that there were 315 639-2 made. Mine is Marked BUCK,639 /,U.S.A, so it was made in 1993. Dick any idea how many 639-1 were made? I am going to drop it off to the Buck Factory to be refurbished. I bought this on eBay just a few days ago paid $140 shipped so dont feel bad about you $80 Dave.. What are the odds that we are talking about this special build out here. Cool timing. I always look at the 184,185,186, and 639's.
 
Could you post a picture of a before shot and poss. one when it returns from Buck. Thanks.

Rich, congrats for that knife. I bet on it too but not high enough. If you find another one ...
