FOX 599 Karambit by Fox Knives
Black G-10 scales
Black coated blade
Flipper tab, thumb hole, Emerson wave
Blade locks perfectly, liner locks deep, DOES NOT exhibit the spine wack lock fail issues mentioned by others online. I don’t know how their knife is like that but this one locks tight and deep, liner lock DOES NOT FAIL under any circumstances.
Perfect condition 9.5/10 like new never sharpened or used to cut anything at all, still super sharp, tip is needle sharp
Comes with box and everything
Features the Emerson wave, combined with the ring on the handle makes for lighting fast deployment.
Whereas when opening a knife with the wave feature you need to pull rear wards out of your pocket first, this is designed in such a way that you can pull it out in a forward direction and slash or strike all in that singular motion. Search up videos on YouTube for demos to see just how effective this particular karambit is.
The 599 is based on the 478/479 Karambit which came before it; fixing the 478’s main biggest issue which was that the handle was far to large for most people which always made all three fingers on the handle fit onto the first and second finger grooves instead of the third as well. You can slightly adjust your grip to a more slanted angle to get all fingers in the right grooves but it greatly diminishes its effectiveness in keeping pressure when the knife makes contact, and also the reach of the knife as you’re shifting the knife inwards for your fingers to reach the right grooves.
Even with the 599 I can just barely get an actual proper grip of it and hold it the correct way.
I actually first purchased the 478 as I didn’t know there was a 599, because only the 478/9 is available in Canada, and of course found it to be way too large, which is why I eventually purchased the 599 because I liked the effectiveness and usability of their design so much.
However the 599 is not for sale anywhere in Canada whatsoever, and hardly anywhere in the US as well; the only place to get it is theultimateknife.com which everyone on the reviews said they had to wait 5 weeks to get it.
Retails for $138 USD from theultimateknife.com after shipping and taxes probably around $170 USD total, which comes out to $222 CAD.
Selling this for $120>$80!!! shipped Xpresspost from BC. Ontario and past eastwards +$10.
It is basically new, never used to cut anything.
