7.5" Blade, 12.5" Overall
Amber Linen Micarta
1/4" O1, SS Pins

My third attempt at this style, still no armour piercing tip. Features my new logo. I do prefer the simplicity and flow of the double hollow grind for this design. Wasn't an easy one to grind, especially on a 4" wide wheel, had to be careful not to gouge the blade, 5" diameter wheel. Just needs leather now.

Also have a couple of smaller variations which I'm just finishing up. I'll be opening up my order book for this series.

Thanks,
Kam

Wow,
I love the looks of this knife.
Cool modern take on a ancient design. Kudos.
I'd love to see one made with a filed or tooled finger guard.
Perfect

a nice S guard would be beneficial and heavens no, no more micarta please. Natural materials still rule the roost and this elegant blade needs a full dressup.

Glad you think it's so deserving Murray. Don't think I've ever seen a Pesh Kabz with a S guard.

That's different. And awesome! I'd never heard of the pesh-kabz until now.

I keep coming back to look at this, such a nice blade.

Kam - I did some research on the Pesh-Kabz and read that it is intented primarily as an armour piercing thruster. You mentioned a piercing tip, this would be interesting to see and no doubt more difficult to get perfect, almost like a miniture nightmare grind!

Your Pesh is very authentic in shape with a wicked modern grind, possibly things like hilts and guards would make it something else, I already asked for a Kasper style handle... you'll be asked for a tanto grind tip next.

Thanks all!

Having handled quite a few of the antique blades I've always had a fascination with this design, they are just so elegantly brutal.

It looks simple but this is something I have been trying to get the lines right on for years, a look through my sketchbooks will show it's the one design I've drawn over and over again. Even for someone with some artistic ability it's been a challenge.

Rich - I will definitely get around to doing an armour piercing tip at some point as that is the original intention of this design. Don't think the Lum style grind I do on my Tantos will work, needs something more elegant and fitting. Just getting the basics perfected right now, tapering the tang may be the next step as you suggested.

Cheers,

Kam

Tapered tangs are always a delight.....[emoji106][emoji41]

were they used mostly for icepick grip stabs to mail, or was it used underhand, also? Just curious. It is such an elegant design. I, too, want to get that style of armor piercing tip correct. I want to copy the Guttmann Gladius at some point, and it has a similar but somewhat different point (since it is double-edged).
