Here is a hunter I made up from 7 bars of steel. 4 of them were w1 and 3 were w1 and n201 twist.

I am going to show a progress pic, to show how i set up the 7 bar billet so you can see the work that went into such a simple knife. After welding the bar was surfaceground, prifiled, and then the the bevels and the taper in the tang were forged in.

The handle is antiqued ivory paper micarta, and the pins are peened nickle silver.

The handle finish is 800grit, then buffed lightly. The knife has a tapered tang and the handle portion of the spine has some simple filework on it.

Price is $325 and comes with a handsew custom sheath from www.handsewnleather.com
Paypal addy is a-takach@takachforge.com , money order and check also accepted.

Very cool looking knife. I'm trying to work out how the pattern comes about from when the billet is created?
Any one able to share a link on the process?
Thanks
