The 2 is so much fun to play with and now I realize the diabolical basterds know it's just a gateway drug.
Now I'm hooked and getting chopping urges all the time. Looking at them imagining the balance. Hands shaking, sweating for no reason. Deleting my browser history...you know the story.
So should I ease into it with a 7 or just go straight to the hard stuff?

At least I can admit it.

Pure chopper? Go 9. The 7 can chop, but it's no Combat Bowie.

Do what I do when I can't decide ... get both :D

It's been down hill ever since.

Next you start stripping blades.

Then mainlining to modding handles

then ...

I got up in the middle of the night because I couldn't remember if I wiped down the blade or not. This is bad. Real bad.

I've hit rock bottom....I ordered both..

Way to go ! Outstanding ! (Golf clap)

"Give in to the dark side Luke ... " LOL

Careful with Amazon, especially with Beckers. We've seen plenty of posts of people receiving what looks like used or abused Beckers from them. YMMV

Hey Tradewater......

Thank You !!!!.....I really appreciate both your business and your fine attitude.....LOL.....

Having said that - I must urge caution when the midnight urge to fondle and oil your blades comes upon you.......Stubbed toes and bunged up heads are likely to occur when stumbling about.....Be careful out there............

Again.....THANK YOU !!!!.....

All Best.....

I've been finding that asking "What should I get, a BKx or a BKy"? tends to yield only one correct answer:

YES

;)

Behold the 9! :D

I'd be happy with either of them but they are a little out of my reach right now. Bud if in doubt get both.

They are inbound. I'm staring at the mailbox right now. I think that makes them get here faster. Actually, I think I can chop it down with maybe, seven or eight strokes....

Oh man, no kidding? That's horrible. I hope I don't have that problem.

What do you 9 owners and users think about convexing it? I usually convex everything and it seems like the big boy would benefit from the extra metal behind the edge. However, a big convex chopper might tend to "glance" a bit. Your thoughts please. I would love to hear Ethan's thoughts on this as well, if anyone knows of a post with that info in it. Or better yet, if the man himself would chime in on that subject.

thanks,
randy

isn't it awful when your pusher comes on and thanks you for buying?

now he can afford that new island :) Beckerisland! where the only thing you need is a Becker knife, because the food is always ready, and the water flows like wine.
