On the 16th of September, 70 years ago, someone we all treasure here on the traditional sub-forum porch was born. His work has almost over taken most of the current postings, and for good reason. His character, personality, and generosity is known by all, and at times, he has been revered as a a saint, even the mythological Santa Claus. We all would love to go through this knife historian's collection and we all know him as a cornerstone to this forum.

Charlie, I hope you don't mind but I would like all to have an opportunity to wish you a happy birthday. May today, and especially the 16th, be filled with laughter and joy for you and yours. HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY.

You've been a role model to us all - your collection spanks any other I know of and I'll bet it holds some incredible treasures yet to be seen. Of course your contribution to the Barlow has been huge, but also the many other stunning creations you've brought to us in your SFO's are among my most cherished knives.

I've only recently discovered your beautiful knives and and am now obsessed. I've yet to pick one up, but it wont be to much longer.
